Hi,

I'm Nicola and i spent all my savings to get a monitor. It works fine with my dad's pc, but when i connect it to my ASUS ROG GL552VW laptop, it only works with battery power. What i mean to say is that the laptop's hdmi works only when my laptop is running on battery power. I've tryed many fixes such as moving my hdmi away from my power cable but it didn't seem to work.

I'm using Windows 11 maybe that's the problem?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Can you check and see what BIOS version you're on at the time of writing? You can do so by using CPU-Z and it should show up under Mainboard's tab. When you say many, I see you've mentioned one, what other options have you tried? Using DDU and reinstalling your GPU drivers with the latest found off of your laptop maker's support site or from Nvidia? The laptop doesn't officially support Windows 11 fyi, as per their support list, here.
