My mic auto adjusts itself to lower the volume if there is a loud sound that it picks up. I tried many fixes but none of them worked. Tried uninstalling skype. Unchecked 'allow programs to take exclusive control of this device" and the "when windows detects communication activity" i selected "do nothing" what else can I do.

What about what Audio Drivers do you have?
Realtek and such may be able to adjust volume automatically.

Uhh, check your microphone's product page, see if it has any features that automatically lower the volume when it gets to loud.

Where can I find this setting on discord? also does curse have this auto adjust feature? I was reading that it might be a windows setting that you literally can't disable.

These settings aren't even on discord but it's not when people are speaking it's like if I make a loud noise it lowers my volume. I can see this in the recording settings. http://imgur.com/a/RpBQH Here you can see whenever a loud sound is made the levels on my microphone get automatically lowered, and I have to turn it up to 100 again.
