[SOLVED] Why does my monitor only go to 60 hz on 2560 x 1440

Hey!
I have recently found a issue with my new monitor where it wont go to the hz thats its supposed to,when i go on 1920 x 1080 it only goes to 120 instead of 165 and when im on 2560 x 1440 it stays on 60 hz
please help me i would much appreciate the help

Usually it's a connection issue. 165Hz is probably only on the DVI or DP, while you are using HDMI. Double check which ports provide 165Hz and you are using the correct cable.
