[SOLVED] Why does my new system sometimes fail to boot?

So I just built my first computer in 20 years and nearly every time I turn it on after it has been off for a while it will not boot. I can see the motherboard flash screen and then my monitor will tell me there is no signal. Then I will hold the power button until it powers off. After all the fans stop spinning I will turn it back on and 9 times out of 10 it will boot up normally. If not the third boot attempt will work.

Anybody have an idea what is going on? I sometimes wonder if the new Ryzen and Radeon RX 5700 are just too new and not fully supported yet.

Yes, when I got it the box said it was Ryzen 3000 compatible and would seem to work but I kept getting BSODs so I updated it to the latest and haven't had a problem with BSOD since. There is a newer beta but MSI says:

- Update AMD ComboPI1.0.0.3abb
Note: MSI do not recommend updating the BIOS unless it is necessary

I'm very disappointed in MSI. Wish I would have built with older hardware. After updating the drivers my system started getting the BSOD. I had to re-image my system with a fresh copy of Windows 10 Pro. It is running better but still getting the BSOD. Please help me figure out what is causing this issue. No, I used a USB Windows installation that I downloaded from Microsoft and installed on my USB drive.

Try these two things:

1. Try a different GPU
2. Try a different non-intel boot drive. like a USB stick with installation media over and over.
