Why does my PC have lag when on battery?

my pc is Lenovo legion Y520
16GB RAM
2 TB HDD + 128 GB SSD
you can have full details by searching name
please help!
when im on a charger it doesnt lag
when im on battery it does by -40 or -20
in COD BO 3 (i used a cracked one for performance test)
more than 60 fps for some reason(on charger)
less than 40(on battery)

Check your power options and select "when on battery" and set it to maximum performance/quality.

There may be other settings as well. That's why you don't game at Desktop performance on laptops. I am not sure, for example you could check your GPU settings, if you have your manufacturer (like Asus Aorus MSI) default app, see that it doesn't have any options to switch when on battery or check the voltage it gets.
