When I first boot up my PC my system will shut down by itself if I just let Windows idle on the desktop for about 5 minutes. If I start using my computer immediately then it does not shut down.

What could be the issue? I Checked my power settings and changed it to never sleep or never hibernate and only turn off the monitor after 30 minutes. Is there something else in the settings I must do in order for my PC to not shutdown automatically in the beginning if I'm idle?

I don't believe it's a hardware issue, but I might be wrong. My board/cpu/memory and PSU are all new from 2 weeks ago.

You state the CPU/board and ram being brand new, did you recycle your older OS and drive? Following that, what BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?

I've shoehorned the specs for your build after copy/pasta'ing it. We ask users to include their specs in the thread's body since sig space specs can and will change over time. When that happens it can and will render this thread and it's possible suggestions moot to the user in the same boat as you're in now.

Hi, my older OS and m.2 boot drives are recycled from previous system. I'm running F2 bios. The Gigabyte website tells me not to update the bios unless I'm seeing problems, which is why I haven't flashed to the newest version yet.

The power off just happened again. This time, I was in the middle of a game and the entire system just powered off.

I'd also like to add it was a clean OS install Windows 10.
