First of all, i'm new to this forum and I have no idea how to classify this thread because I don't have a clue what is going on here:
I have 2 PC's at home. One of them has the internet modem thingy and a Wi-Fi router and the weird thing is, when I use my phone to reset the router (by going to 192.168....), the second PC turns on even when it is completely turned off(not hibernating, sleeping or anything like that). Just randomly turns on, no notifications, errors or dialogue boxes show up, just turns on as if I pushed the button on the case. I'm interested if anyone knows how and why that happens, I've searched the internet and couldn't find anything so I kind of come here as a last resort. I'm not really interested in fixing this (it doesn't bother me or cause any problems or discomfort at all) as much as i'm interested in knowing how and why it works. I've never installed any special software for anything like that nor did I ever have a thought about doing something remotely similar to that.
Some additional info:
Both computers are running on Windows 7 x64 (phone is on android ICS but I highly doubt that matters)
Wireless router and USB Adapter are standard TP link ones(TP Link WR741ND and TP Link WN322N
Motherboard on the PC that turns on is Asus P8 Z77 V,
I have all the drivers up to date on both PC's, although i've been delaying doing the BIOS update.
I'm not sure what else could help you since i haven't got a clue what the issue is. If you need any additional info, i'll be more than willing to give it.
