I have a wonderful old Samsung ML-2950 Mono laser printer. Most likely it last this long is the fact that I rarely use it with the exception of tax time with all those forms the IRS forces me to download. I know, i can get it for free, but i enjoy doing my own. Now, the question....yesterday i made a print of a home next to me being modernized. I took one picture and made a print of it. Today, the following day, I was all set to make another print of a multiphoto layout. When I clicked on "Print", out came that same print that i did yesterday. OK, this must be a mistake I made. Turned out each time I use the printer, out comes that same print. Seems like m printer was in a rut. I thought I do a test page to break out the monotony. This time I got the print test...so the spell must be broken...foolish me....it still prints that one print that i had made the day before. This has never happened to me before. I don't know if its the software that created that photo or the printer itself settings. I checked most areas...removed the default check from it, use the ECO mode and no luck. I even wrote to the author of that photo software which is the wonderful Irfanview latest version and he recommended to check my printer settings, which I did to no avail. Has anyone here ever ran into a similar situation and corrected it? BTW, this is being done in Win 7, where i have always used this software among earlier window versions. In fact this latest version is compatible from xp to win 11

Thank you...i had to google on how to find the spool folder. You said to delete all files in that folder which includes Drivers . I just want to ask before I do delete all those files in that folder, what could i expect how my printer would react. Will I have to reinstall printer driver? Like I said, I have this Printer for about 10 years and this is the first time i ran into a situation where as you suggested to go to the Spool folderin services and eventually delete all those files. I 'm just curious on why after all these years, this occurred, and is it preventable.

what drivers? doesn't sound like you are at the right location
I went to services according to Google and look for the Spool folder and put a stop to it and then go to windows\system32\spool folder and delete all files in that folder....there were about 5 files and Driver and Printer were there. That is why I am trying to be cautious before i delete all those files. I had a hell of a time not too long ago in getting a universal driver for Samsung through HP. I went to that link, apparently Google stopped at the Spool folder and said to delete all files. I checked again and did see Printers, but there were no temp files there, it was empty.
BTW, just to be clear, the printer didn't stop printing, it just kept repeating the last good print idid made.

Here is a step by step link for clearing the Print Spooler in Windows 7

Below link to HP drivers for your printer if you need to reinstall.

I edited my last post as I received your response here. I know HP has taken over Samsung printers. I have the driver saved, plus the firmware. Apparently i do not need to reinstall the drivers, after all it still is printing. I never had to install a firmware....how is it done in this case?

Don't run the Firmware update if you are using non-samsung toner cartridge

If you are using Samsung Toner Cartridge -

Download the zip file, extract the exe file and run it. It will do the rest.

I did all of that with Services and I see where at the top it gives me the option to turn Spool on start again. I don't want to do the cmd command and screw things up... I just got your message about the toner and firmware. No i am using a recent purchase samsung clone toner. May i say something and please, do not get offended on what I am about to say....you have been very helpful and I appreciate that...but your first reply was very short with no explanation, other than what we be exchanging through this thread. Not everyone is printer savvy when they ask a question and that includes me. I never in 10 years ever had to mess around with Spool folder, that is why i went to google after reading your first response to find out on how to get to the spool folder. So now I am going to go back to services and turn Spool on start again, and like I said before my Printer folder is empty.

This:

"No i am using a recent purchase samsung clone toner."

Where did you get the "clone" toner?

Consider that Samsung's software/drivers etc. may not properly work with a non Samsung toner cartridge.

However, I do not know how Samsung's hardware and software is coded to respond to a non-Samsung cloned cartridge.

Take a look in Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer.

Look for any print or printer related entries when the "reprint" or any other printing issues occured.

However, I do not know how Samsung's hardware and software is coded to respond to a non-Samsung cloned cartridge.>>>>> I have used clone toners for years and never had a problem such as i am getting now. After clearing up the Spool folder as suggested here, again this morning i tried to make a print of my daily crossword puzzles, instead i still get that same picture of the remodeled home. In the interim i did make a test page and that broke the cycle briefly until this morning.

Sorry, i don't understand your suggestion....anyway, I just experimented by connecting my printer to my Dell laptop, went to print my crossword puzzle from my local newspaper and it did print the crossword......so it seems to work normally on my laptop, but not my desktop....

try disk cleanup to clear temp file?
Did you read post #10 it was meant for you. I thought this thread was only between you and me, but other moderators chipped in. You did it again with your quote above. I had to google to find out how and where to cleanup temp files. Please do not take for granted by merely put in a statement and the reader knows what your talking about. Again, no offense.
