Why does my resolution say 1920x1080 when its clearly not?

I recently made a clean Windows 8.1 installation on my Samsung 840 Pro SSD and I installed the drivers for my EVGA GTX 780, I installed them from the disc, I installed them from NVIDIA's website as well and my icons and windows are still really big, my resolution is low but when I check the resolution in the screen resolution settings it says that its 1920x1080. Also, when I try reinstalling the driver and choosing the clean installation option which deletes the previous one, when its uninstalling the driver the resolution gets normal in 1080 like its supposed to, but once its starts reinstalling it, it goes back and makes everything really big again. How do I fix this?

You shouls not have installed the drivers from the disk uninstall every nvidia file and install GeForce experience and get the latest version from it
