I have a Samsung NP700Z5C-S02UB (Series 7 Chronos 15.6'') and I just replaced it's old HDD with a new Samsung V-NAND 850 EVO with 500GB. The PC boots up (after shutdown) in about 7 seconds. But to restart it (whether new programs were recently installed or not), it takes nearly 4 minutes, and I've tested this several times. What gives?

Also, I cannot seem to find ExpressCache anywhere on this new hard drive. It came on the computer originally.

I tried changing ClearPageFileAtShutdown to 0, and it already was zero.

It was done on a clean install of Windows 10. The original hard drive came with Windows 8, if this matters.

The ExpressCache is a program that utilizes an SSD for caching will need to be re-installed and re-configured. As long as the SSD is still active and functioning you can probably re-install the software and reconfigure the ExpressCache system. I did find one link that may be helpful http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/guide-on-expresscache-i-want-my-expresscache-back-edition.638788/

is that what's making the reboot time 4 minutes? Not having the expresscache? If it is, then I have downloaded the driver. If its not, what could it be?

OK, could this all have been because the people I took my computer to installed an unlicensed version of Windows 10?

I now have my license key; if I download Windows 10 to bootable media with the creation tool, buy a new SSD (I returned the old one), might I be more successful in getting an SSD onto my laptop and not with 4 minute reboot times?
