Why does one of my cores run so much lower?

Hey all, Quick question.

I have a 5930K and have been monitoring the usage on my CPUs during various activities (Gaming, decrypting, etc)

I have noticed that CPU2 is barely being used, but all other 11 CPU are being used.

It is usually dramatic too. The other CPUs can be variable between 0 and 99% usage but CPU2 will be at 0-4%.

I've malware scanned and virus scanned with malwarebytes and kaspersky, Any ideas?

It's probably just windows scheduling being weird.

If you wanted to test it for sure, load up a benchmark and set the affinity to *only* cpu 2 (you can do this via task manager). That should force it to get loaded fully...

Thanks, looks like you are right. Seems my computer just isn't crazy about core 2. Seems to work fine if its forced.
