Question Why does one of my NVME PCIe drives run slower than the other?

I recently built a PC to replace my 10 year old system, and decided to get 2 X 1TB Adata XPG SX8200 Pro m.2 nvme PCIe drives, one for the OS and apps, and the other for games and general storage.

According to both the BIOS and the Adata toolbox, both drives are connected via PCIe Gen3 x4 and are configured exactly the same. However, when I benchmark the drives using CrystalDiskBench, I've noticed that the OS drive runs considerably slower in the Q32T1 tests than my storage drive.

Here's my build specs

I have one drive connected to the M2A slot on the motherboard, and the other is connected to the M2P slot. I tried swapping the drive slots, but still get the same results in the benchmark. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks in advance
