Please keep it to 1 thread.
I was looking for motherboards for my i5 10600k and wanted a B560 because XMP profile can be enabled, but I found that it supports 4x2 and 2x2 pins for CPU power and if I'm not mistaken it only has boards for Overclock it will do. be that in Can this B560 be overclocked? I don't really need to overclock, although I wish I could enter that world even with the limitations of the B560 chipset.

I don't have such a high budget and I was thinking of a Z490 or a B560 as I want the XMP profile and I don't need overclocking, although I could do with a bit.
My candidates are:
Z490 Gaming Edge Wifi $ 199
Z490 Gaming plus $ 169
Matching B560 Rog strix $ 179
B560 torpedo $ 139

Personally I love the ROG but it has a somewhat high price, and it seems to me that with the Torpedo it could go perfectly, I have heard that MSI has a poor quality control, and I live in Ecuador and I will buy it in the United States, so I will not it may have flaws.

For an 10th gen i5, it shouldn't really matter but I would recommend watching HardwareUnboxed's video about B560 motherboard roundups, I don't remember seeing the Torpedo there but the ROG was about in the upper middle of the bunch with an i5 10400F with sustained 4.2GHz on a 1 hour blender test.

The Rog with the second most expensive so if that is your current preference then put that motherboard at the top of the list.

But there is much more that you should do....

Start here:

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-motherboards,3984.html

Then go online and read the applicable User Guides/Manuals for all of the motherboards you are considering.

Pay close attention to all specs, warnings, fine print, etc. You will probably need to visit the various motherboard manufacturers' websites for more up to date information including QVLs (Qualified Vendors Lists).

First ensure that the motherboard does indeed support the i5 10600k.

Second ensure that the motherboard will support the other components that you intend to install.

Third ensure that the PSU will be sufficient to power it all with some extra wattage available. Do not go cheap on the PSU.

You have a budget range for the motherboard. That is good but consider the overall budget range for the build that you have in mind.

Plan for future growth.

Hi ralson
On the matter of compatibility, if it is, apart from the rest of my components are of the same quality and are compatible, and with my budget, I think it would be about $ 150 but I can extend a little, that's why I think that the ROG is somewhat expensive but affordable. I'll do some more research, although I think I've done enough.

Solution
I bought the 10600k on sale, it cost me about $ 179 and the 11600k was at $ 169, almost $ 100 difference, I also had the 11600k in mind but there was a big difference so at the last minute I decided on the other, about customer service Well, I won't be able to use the guarantee since I live in another country
