Why does the sound cut on my pc

Hello,
Please helpme..2 days ago everything was fine but now when i play a video on youtube, the sound is clear but when i enter a chatroom the sound cutts even if i mute the voice..

What's change, did you have an MS update that did it ? Did you update audio drivers ?
If yes you can go to control panel, system, hardware, device manager, choose your audio device for sound and right click properties, go to driver and roll back driver to previous version.
