I have a z390 motherboard and 9900k, I just overlooked the cpu to 5 ghz and I was benchmarking it with BFV. The game was running 200 FPS at 70-75c, and I turned on v sync to see that now my cpu temps were approaching the low 80’s instantly. Why could this be?

Solution
Look at how much CPU usage there is with and without vsync.
These are different methods of limiting the FPS, limiting the FPS from within the game can adjust the CPU usage so that the game only reaches the wanted FPS while with vsync the game itself runs the game as fast as possible and vsync just cuts off (doesn't display) anything above the wanted FPS.
