Question Why does Windows Explorer lock up so frequently on Windows 10

I keep having to restart it in Task Manager because I can't open the Start Menu. Been happening more and more. I have no known problems with my install. I'll run SFC Scannow to check. Can I do anything to fix this?

What happens when you try opening the Start Menu? Any pop-up windows, error messages, etc.?

Just what do you do, step by step, when trying to start Windows Explorer?

Does "WIN" + "E" work?

Look in Reliability History/Manager. There may be some error codes or warning being captured just before or at the time of the freezes.
