Why doesn't it go to 68Hz?

955df should work at 1600x1200@69, but it does only 1600x1200@60, why? I have GeForce2 MX that supports 1600x1200@120.
Thank, You

I have a similar problem with my NEC. 68 and 69Hz are apparently not at all standard refresh rates and thus left out of the "normal" inf files. Grab a copy of Powerstrip and it will allow you to create a customised inf file that will provide the 69Hz refresh rate at 1600x1200.

Odds are the plug and play information stored in the monitors memory (or the driver (INF files) tells the OS to default to 60Hz at 1600 x 1200 a VESA standard. 69Hz is not a standard refresh rate at 1600 x 1200. Only way to get to 69Hz is to manually set it there. I know matrox has a feature that allows you to use non standard resolutions, dont know about your card.

Good Luck

get HZ Tool. it's one of the best things I've done for my FPS games. my monitor would support massive refreshes, but windows would never run past its crummy default rates. this program lets you set your own resolutions with their own refreshes--even in 1hz increments. so now I'm getting fluid video performance in half-life, quake3, 2, etc. I forgot the url, search in google or something.
