Why doesnt my acer aspire one recognize the #1 recovery disk?

Hello,
I have an Acer Aspire One that is just over a year old. I am trying to do a clean install on a new hard drive but I load the system disk and everything goes great, then it asks for the #1 recovery disk and the cd light flashes and then it ejects the #1 disk and say to insert it and press o.k continue. Acer is of no help.

What did Acer suggest? It seems like they would have offered to send you a new #1 disc, or at least sell you one. If the drive reads the system disk, but won't take the next one it sounds like you've basically got a bad disc which needs replaced.

Not much you can do on that one other then contact Acer for a replacement. You could try one of the cd cleaning kits as well if you happen to have one.
