I bought new ram chips, and there have been more problems than I care to get into, but the one thing I noticed was..
My BIOS has no ram or VRAM settings or anything.
Is there a way around this?
for reference, here is a bunch of pictures of my BIOS (I have a toshiba satellite L775D-S7340)

Laptops have limited BIOS settings in pretty much all cases. Aside from one or two newer gaming laptops, they almost exclusively all use automatic memory configuration and are not user changeable. If the new RAM isn't working and you know the specifications match, try unplugging the power cable, disconnecting the CMOS battery which may require removing an access plate on the bottom, then put it back, plug it back in and reboot.

If that fails to rebuild the hardware tables so that the memory is recognized, you are probably out of luck and the memory is likely either incompatible with the memory that was already installed or with your machine.
