I have 2 kids who play Fortnite simultaneously. (I myself is not a gamer... thus limited knowledge on gaming hardwares)
Rig#1: i5-7600K@4.4GHz, EVGA Z170, 16GB@3200MHz, GTX 1060 6GB, SM961 1TB NVMe SSD, 1080 monitor
Rig#2: i7-6700 (vanilla), ASUS B250, 16GB@2133, GTX 1660 Super, PM863a 1TB SATA SSD, 1920X1200 monitor

same settings (all epic settings, 60 fps) and kids fight for the Rig#1, saying Rig#2 is so much more laggy.
I thought the Rig#2 is still an overkill for Fortnite @ 1080 (or 1200). I turned off hyperthreading and kids think it got a bit worse.

Why would it be the case?
(1) 6700 CPU bottleneck??
(2) maybe the 1080 vs 1200 difference is not to be ignored?
(3) SATA SSD slower than NVMe?
(4) RAM speed actually matters??
(5) I remembered another: Rig#1 is Ethernet wired, Rig#2 is Wifi N connected maybe this was the reason

Please recommend settings on Rig#2 or possible upgrades.

Thanks,
