Why have my monitor usb-b?

Well, the title says it all... i have a nvidia g2460p. It has not built in speakers, but sometimes my computer change audio device to ''high definition audio unit'' but i cant hear a shit... I know i just can change to my other sources, but why is it there in the first place?

because it probably has USB-A ports. the B one used to connect the monitor to computer in order to avoid confusion

but why is it audio devices popping up?
