Why i cannot get access to 3g network through a dongle

Hello,
please help me as when i connect to the internet i cannot access to the 3G network but only to a 2G network.

i cannot say its a hardware issue bec the dongle can see and connect to the 2g network

1. issue might be on the dongle configuration\setup ( call your isp )
2. issue might be on the network ( no 3g signal available on your location )
