Question Why i can't install the newest driver 418.91

I needed to reinstall my nvidia drivers so i used DDU to uninstall them. Then when i tried to install the newest version from the official site of nvidia in the middle of the installation it stopped .Then when i check the version of the drivers it says that the version is 388.13. Do you know a solution.

It's because windows installed an older version.

Within the DDU app, check the settings and it there should be a tick box if you want your PC to automatically update your GPU drivers or not. Make sure that is ticked, along with the prompt to boot to safe mode on launch. Should stop this issue.

im having similar issues with my asus 1060 6gb. in device manager code 43 is shown for my gpu.
