Why is everything on my monitor blurry?

Hello,
I have a dell flat screen monitor and it is all blurry, as well as working very slow. we have mcafee and spybot and have removed everything we could find, but this problem persists. can anyone help me?

Try updating the video card drivers via Dell's support site. If that doesn't work, have you tried making adjustments to it on screen, i.e. the little buttons on the screen itself? Try the "auto" button first.

Are the BIOS screens blurry when the PC is booting? If yes, it's the monitor, if not, it's likely video card/monitor related.

Is it blurry in safe mode? If not, it's likely your video driver, as safe mode uses the default video driver.
