I just bought a new system essentially. New motherboard, processor, RAM, onboard SSD harddrive, and video card.
This is my first time using Win10. I had Win7 before. I successfully installed the operating system, setup my USB wireless adapter, got chrome, was going to get the latest drivers for everything, but then it crashed without a screen. Tower powered down completely and then restarted. Now it gets to the desktop and crashes the same way. It starts in safemode no problem. I could get online in safemode to get all of the latest drivers, but it still crashes as soon as it hits the desktop. Maybe I just need to do a Windows Update? I have not had a chance to and safemode won't let me. I checked that my RAM is seated properly. I don't know what I am missing.

Motherboard: TUF Z370-Plus Gaming
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700 @ 3.20GHz 3.19GHz
RAM: 16GB: 2 (Crucial brand) 8GB DDR4-2400 UDIMM 1.2V
Harddrive: (Super Talent brand) SST M2 2280 1TB SATAIII 3D TLC SSD
Video Card: msi Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 2GB GDDR5

Had you or were in the process of installing your graphics drivers? If so try booting in low resolution mode (a choice in the safe mode boot menu). This is just a stab in the dark, but at least you can rule out the graphics drivers if it doesn't boot.
I'm going to try doing a fresh install without the graphics card installed. There was an unusual error installing the motherboard VGA driver, but I read it was because I had a video card.

Edit: Tried a low res start first. Crashed anyways.

Where did you get those drivers official sources or form DVD comes with the motherboard?
I would re-install the OS and use it for moment without driver to see if the hardware causing the problem.
With all new parts in your case it's pretty hard to guess why it happening... Anyway what kind of a PSU are using can I have some details on that?

I tried using the DVD first, but when I could get online, I started downloading them from Asus.

I can't even make it through the install now. It crashes on the install.

The PSU is 750w. Diablotek? That's what I can remember. I can get more details when I get home. It's old, but I was told they don't go bad.

There is two things you can try first another clean installation of the OS second try existing system with another power supply.
I think doing the first one will be worthy as you can use the computer with no problems in safe mode but PSU may have faults too so if it is more than 5 years old then i would recommend looking for new one. For the 8700+GTX1050 400W PSU with good brand will be enough.
