Hello,

I just bought two new 4GB ram sticks of the Corsair Vengeance Pro series DDR3-1600 variant. However when I plug them into my Asus M5A97 R2.0 motherboard, the red light button stating "dram led memok" is lighted and when I press it or hold it down nothing happens.

Would this mean that the RAM is perhaps faulty? My motherboard should support this kind of RAM and my CPU (the AMD FX-8320) too.

With kind regards,

Memory modules sold as Single Modules have no guarantee to work in any configuration other than as a Single Module.

Try listing memory by part number or link.
It is a 2x4 GB model who together are part of a 8GB set. Also they are not working independently when I plug one of them in. So if they are defect, they both have to be defect which is a small chance. Is it possible that my mobo somehow doesnot support these corsair types of RAM (which would be very weird imo)?
