[SOLVED] Why is Malwarebytes Free so unreliable?

I use two softwares for the protection of my pc against harmful viruses.
Bitdefender Free and Malwarebytes Free
But why is Malwarebytes so unreliable while for Bitdefender,i 100% recommend it
Sometimes when i scan Rar files with Malwarebytes,it doesnt even scan the files in it like come on,Bitdefender scans every but of file in rar files
Any alternatives of Malwarebytes??

There is Spybot, I used to use it in the past - https://www.safer-networking.org/products/spybot-free-edition/

i don't use Malwarebytes, mainly rely on Bitdefender total security and a few browser extensions to stop me even loading bad sites.

Well when you steal games and other content you kind of deserve what you get. Nothing legally obtained is in a RAR file. That’s all from stolen Torrents such as games and movies so if you’re doing that kind of stuff you kind of deserve what you get if you get infected

Not all rar files are suspect, I have seen them used to contain dump files, it really depends on what software they used to zip files.

In all my years of business nobody has ever used an RAR archive for any legitimate purposes. That’s almost 40 years. In any case it’s a very good indicator that the OP is doing things they shouldn’t be doing and there is nothing wrong with Malwarebytes

Well, seems lots of dump files I have had converted aren't legit then

I used to have winrar on my last PC and I never download anything that isn't legal. I can't remember why I had it.

Some of the CAD and .stl files I get for my printer come as RAR.
But very few, and from known sources.

I have seen legitimate downloads come as .rar files. Its uncommon, though.

its so rare I don't have it on here now, and every time i see a rar file now I have to go find a way to convert it. I think 7 zip does them

First of all,sorry for the late reply
The rar file i am talking about is not a pirated game or a movie but is a mod file for Gta San Andreas
The File looked very sus even when just looking at it

Not making fun of you when i say this but do you know the correct way to use malwarebytes

Have you used malwarebytes before. The reason I ask this is because you may not be fully aware of how Malwarebytes works. Infections of any kind can be made up of many segments , if you clicked on anything it found before quarantining and deleting you might have seen it say something like joe bloggs pup 5 , this means that joe bloggs pup is made up of 5 segments.
This is the important bit.... Malwarebytes is one of the best programs around but it cant always get rid of all segments of something on the first scan/quarantine/delete. You must do repeated scans till it finds nothing.
Also try adwcleaner by the same company
