Why is MSI Z97 Gaming 5 better and expensive than MSI Z97 SLI PLUS?

It has the exact same features as the SLI PLUS
infact the SLI Plus has a SATA Express connector
but the Gaming 5 does not have it

Gaming 3 is the same price as SLI Plus but it does not support SLI and it too does not have the SATA Express port

What makes Gaming 5 and 3 so good?

And any of them good for Any kind of Rendering work?
or should I stick with SLI Plus?

Solution
Well...
1. gaming 5 and gaming 3 have better audio than SLI PLUS
2. msi gaming series use high quality component would better than SLI PLUS.
3. overclock performance gaming 5> SLI PLUS> gaming 3
4.gaming 5 and SLI PLUS would support sli.

If you have enough budget ,you should go gaming 5 ,all point would better than other. If you relly don't need sli and go a wild overclock ,I would go gaming 3(better component and audio than sli plus). If you need sli and heavy overclock ,go SLI PLUS would be fine.

Motherboard tier list: Z97 chipset

Tier One-Class B: Enthusiast Level. Premium featured MoBos with SLI capability, M.2 and enough power to run any current CPUs with very high-extreme OCing capabilities. Just a step lower than...

Tier Three: Mid range. Crossfire Capable MoBos with SATA III for budget oriented gamers. Quality is decent, OCing ability is moderate for most boards.
