Why is msn backgammon unable to connect

I choose to play 5 point game

it then finds an opponent

then says please wait for player to connect

then a message comes up unable to connect please close this window and try again

my internet connection is working fine

I've been trying for two days also. I think that the server is down and they aren't telling anyone. I've tried on three different computers and none can connect. They each get to the same point you do with the same message. Parts of the MSN message is that there may be server problems. If you notice the number of players listed under the "rated" games, it's way higher than a normal number. That's often a tip-off that the server is down. I guess we just wait and keep checking.

I am having the same problem with the spades site.

If you had windows xp and upgraded to Vista you need to go to C:\ programs and look for msn gaming zone click on the icon. When the windows folder appears open it; look for the icon bckgzm and click on it. It should open and you can then play the game. You might want to right click on the icon and send it to your desktop.
