[SOLVED] Why is my 2.0x16 Card running at 2.0x8?

I own a low end PC that has a Low Profile ZOTAC 2gb GeForce GT 730 GPU.
My motherboard is an ASUS ASRock A320M-HDV Rv. 1.04 and
My CPU is an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 @ 3.1 (Summit Ridge)
When I use freeware like CPU-Z it tells me that the mainboard's max supported is x8 even though I understood both this processor and the motherboard itself is supposed to support PCI 3.0x16.
Any help is appreciated!

The gt730 has a pci express 2.0 x 8 limitation.

The issue is the GPU not the motherboard

No problem, out of interest what gpu/gpu's are you considering??

You should also consider your psu model.

Are you only using one PCIE slot or two? If you are utilizing more than one PCIE slot, even a PCIE 4.0 X 16 slot will drop down to PCIE 4.0 X 8. For the record, PCIE 4.0 X 8 has the same performance as PCIE 3.0 X 16.
