Why is my 4TB showing as 1.99TB

HI everyone i recently finished my first build, but I'm having one problem with. When i check 'This PC' my 4TB Seagate is showing as 1.99TB. When I check disk managment it says the missing space is unallocated. Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it? Thanks

Here's the parts i bought for the build

OS - Windows 10
CPU - Intel Core i7-600K
GPU - GeForce GTX 1060
Motherboard - ASUS Pro Gaming
HHD - SEAGATE 4TB
Memory - HyperX Fury (16GB RAM)
CASE - In Win GT1
CPU Cooler - Coolmaster Hyper 212
Power Supply - Corsair VS450 Watt
DVD - Samsung x24

It's because your drive is partitioned as MBR. It needs to be a GPT partition for a boot drive over 2TB.

Thanks. Guessing ill have to format it. Do i set it as GPT through the BIOS?

During the OS install.
Reformat the drive, and select GPT.
