Hey all
I just recently built my new pc (First time builder) and decided to run a benchmark test using passmark to make sure everything was running fine. Thankfully for me everything has turned out great and seems like I built it right. But heres the issue, my friend bought a pre- built gaming pc with lower specs than mine and he got a passmark rating of 6374 were mine was 5600+ (can't remember the exact number). Thing is I have been turning background programs off and changing desktop performance settings so the computer runs faster and he never did that but still got a better rating. I ain't trying to have a competition with him, I just feel like I may need to tweak things in the bios or something to boost my performance cause I just can't understand why he is getting a better rating, anyway heres my rig and his compared:
My Rig -------------------------------------------Friends Rig
CPU: I7 6700 3.4 ghz------------------------I7 6700 3.4 ghz
MOBO: Asus maximus Hero VIII-----------Asus maximus Ranger VIII
RAM: 64 Gb ram (corsair vengeance)----32gb Ram (Corsair vengeance)
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 1 TB ------------Samsung 850 EVO 250 gb
GPU: Asus GTx 1080 Turbo In SLI--------EVGA GTX 1080s founders in SLI
HDD: 2x Seagate Barracuda 1 tb---------2x Seagate Barracuda 1 tb
CASE: Coolermater Cosmos 2------------Corsair Obsidian 750D
COOLER: Corsair H100i-------------------Corsair H100i
I know there isn't much difference, but mine should technically have a better rating right? His rig is about 1 month older than mine as well so his should be slightly slower due to temp files and stuff. I would really like some help because I feel like I'm not getting the full power out of my rig.
Thanks
