Why is my computer not allowing me to run this game?

Not a big gamer, a friend introduced me to sims I thought it was cool, I luckily found this game online for only $6 so I was super happy to start installing it and start playing. That didn’t happen because the instructions say it should come up as dvd click and install but there is. I thing to install here. Disc is being read as “DVD RW (E thesims2localized. What does that mean? Why is it not allowing me to install it? When I click on it, it says files currently on disc (5) files are 1. aspyr game agent 2. localized 3. Support localized 4. The sims 2 read meapp. 5. The sims 2 localized..
Then more folders inside of those.. what can I do? Please help. Also how can I post a picture on here to show you?

if you get SPECCY and run it, what is identified as your cdrom/dvd player
please provide make and model described by the program called SPECCY (get it from : http://www.piriform.com/speccy/download)

I suspect your cdrom/.dvd player device is not a dvd reader, but just a cdrom/cdrw and that is why your unable to read /install the game.
but I wait your information.
