Why is my computer so slow

The computer gets held up with using MS office and often crashes. Freezing occurs every week or so where I have to hard reset. Running Windows 10 and MS office 365.

1. make sure all drivers are up to date
2. A clean reinstall of OS is recommended
3. The poor quality PSU could be failing.

Viruses, Malware? You'd also want to make sure your motherboard drivers are up to date as well as the GPU drivers, get those directly from the manufacturer websites.

There is nothing low quality about Antec HCG power supplies....That's a rebadged Seasonic S/M 12 II.

Drivers. Memory configured correctly? Any error messages?

My bad, quickly glanced jonnyguru's scores was 7.3 back in 2013, so I assumed it was not very good. After careful reading, the reviewer disliked the case too much so that he reduced the final score by a lot....

make sure the cpu is not overheating, keep an eye on temps

You might compare your current bios level to the most recent.
Often bios updates have descriptions such as enhanced stability.

It might be worth a memtest86 run to verify your ram is good.
Use an authorized XMP setting only.
A full pass with NO errors should be ok.

If you have overclocked, back off a notch and see if that helps.

If your problem only happens with MS office, see if there is a software patch.

My bad. I saw your Z170 question.
the answer there is that DDR4 ram has no difference so far as I can tell running on a Z170 or Z270 motherboard.
I think the sales text included Z170 when such motherboards were new.

You can always access a ram vendor web site and look for their ram selection app.
Enter the make/model of your motherboard, and you will get a list of supported ram kits.
I did not look, but I have little doubt that you will not find the tridentz kit on the g.skil supported list.
