Why is my cpu being utilized more than my gpu when playin minecraft

It ranges from 40-80 on my cpu and 10-20 on my gpu
Specs:
gpu:msi twin frozr 7 1650 super
cpu: amd ryzen 3 3300
ram: 16gb dont know what brand but its 2 sticks
psu: Thermaltake smart 500w

It's an open world game. When you have a bunch of things to simulate, it tends to tax the CPU more. This is on top of Minecraft not being a graphically complicated game to run unless you throw in a shader mod like SEUS.
