Hello TomsHardware,

Last weekend I changed my PC case from the NZXT Phantom to the NZXT H440. I've left all of the fans stock with the H440. Since upgrading cases my CPU seems to now be much much hotter than it use to be. While playing cs:go (Counter Strike:Global Offensive) for around 2 hours my CPU reaches highs of 80C while it use to never get higher then 70C.

What do you think the problem is? Thanks for the help, George.

fair enough

just my opinion but i dont think there should be 10c difference between those cases

so my advice would be take off the heatsink and reseat it

even 70c seems a bit high if not overclocking it with a 212 evo

I'm 100& certain that's it's been installed correctly as I didn't remove it when changing cases and I never went above 70C before.

Thank you, when I say 70C I mean with my CPU being at 100% rendering a video and playing games.
