Why Is My CPU Temps High

If its idle its around 30-40, but when I get on stuff, its jumps to 50-60 average. My system is 30-31c but why is it just my cpu. My gpu is 33-34 average. I have a fx 8150 on a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 motherboard. My cpu cooler is hyper 212 evo.

Do you have a stock fan on your cpu?? High temp is when its nearly 70. Kinda look decent to me.
And where do you get your information from? Software or Bios?

Dude, I already said that I have a hyper 212 evo on it. I get my info from et6

Is your cpu overclocked?

You might have too much or too little of the thermal compound.

Check that your cpu fan is blowing in the correct direction.

My bad lol... From what i know et6 takes temps from the motherboard sensors and the heatsink.
And realtemp takes temps from the cpu core sensors inside the chip itself. You might wanna check that program out.

kk, i tried coretemp, and it shows all the info on the cpu, and it syas I use around 38 min to 48 max in celcius. Yes, I have everything good. I did apply thermal paste for the first time, so I might have to have my friend come over and look at it.
