I need help figuring out why my new computer uses more cpu usage using Sony Vegas than it does on my old laptop. My new computer with Ryzen 7 1700x Processor (8 cores) and GTX 970 graphic Card. My Toshiba Satellite S55t-A laptop has only has the Intel i7-4700mq processor (4 cores). I tested Sony Vegas on both computer by playing back a video; nothing more. The cpu on the new computer with Ryzen 7 had a cpu usage of 60 %, while the laptop has a CPU usage of 10%. I know there is something I am doing wrong since the laptop has far less specs than the new computer. Can someone help me understand how to configure the cpu usage.
As for an added note that might have something to do with this, I did just upgrade the processor in my new computer from a Ryzen 3 1200 to a Ryzen 7 1700X without doing anything programming.
