Why is my desktop so large? (The text and display are larger than before)

I have recently built my computer and everything was working normally as I had expected. Then I decided to replace my monitor to a TV that had 1080 resolution. When I turned on the computer, the desktop looked different. Everything looks much larger than before. I tried to play with the AMD Radeon settings but nothing.(The drivers are up to date) I then uninstalled the drivers to my GPU and my desktop finally changed back to normal. But I reinstalled my drivers and the problem came back. What can I do to fix my problem? I'm kinda new to computers but I know I need my GPU drivers to play my games. Is there some program or settings I need to change? I played with my TV settings too and nothing. The resolution settings are in 1920 x 1080 and it looks good, its just the apps and everything looks too big.

GPU: PowerColor Radeon RX 460 2GB Red Dragon Video Card

Have you checked the operating system's icon and text size settings? In Windows 10 under Display Settings is a slide bar for changing the size of the text and other items. If it is above 100% that may be your problem.

Are you sure that you have your video cable plugged into the GPU, and not the on-board graphics?
Also, did you disconnect your monitor? Maybe Windows is going into "projecting" mode when you're plugging in your TV, then in the settings you would have two separate resolution sliders, for both the monitor and tv.
