why is my disk space filling up by itself?

It wont stop untill there is nothing left on the c drive, ive used cc cleaner, cleaned the registry, dont disk tidy-up and used system restore to the only 2 store point ive had, nothing works and it is relentless, ive ran virus checks and malware checks, all fine, another thing is there is a toolbar folder i cant delete in my program files called AskPartnerNetworks, what can i do ? I really dont want to have to re-format :<

That Ask Toolbar is painful, and not easily uninstalled. See the above link for some help with it.

Also, try running Super Antispyware. It does sound like some background process is eating up the resources.

Every time the PC does another System Restore another 3 to 5 percent of your disk space is used.

Decrease the size of the space allocated for System Restore points.

Thank you thank you thank you... My system went fromn 6,1G space left t6o 445G left. WOW. Wish had found this before I reallocated space on the drive to give C nearly everything! Thank you sooooooo much. It was causing all kinds of problems!
