68 is perfectly fine, actually rather good for running a demanding game. Modern electronics can survive up to 80-100 degrees no problem. Your card is running fine.

It just seems kinda high, I'll play Metro for an hour or two and record temps in MSI Afterburner

If they go any higher than something has to be up

I'll look inside my case, maybe cables are blocking the fans

No its perfectly fine, youll find if you look around thats about the temperature G1 cards (or any non reference 970) run at in games. Just for comparison, reference 970s run at 80 degrees under load. You have nothing to worry about

Upgrade your thermal paste in your graphics card very easy to do and imo well worth it. Lots of guides and videos how to. That temp seems a little to high for that card thats 150 degrees fahrenheit whattt???? maybe its afterburner giving a bad reading.

What kind of temps are you referring to? If you could link it. Everything I've seen (i have a 970) say thats normal

I would say that's overly extreme for his temps, not only is it somewhat risky, it may void the warrenty. I wouldnt even think of doing this with those temps.

i do agree thats high as i didnt see it was in celsius... but you had said that you have 970 and said that's normal or do i need to read that reply again? also i have upgraded my thermal past on my card and seen 5-7c less temp over stock paste. Its removing 4 screws pulling the plate off and rubbing off the stock past with rubbing alcohol and applying new stuff i prefer artic silver and no warranty voided what so ever???

MX-2 or MX-4 are both better on gpus than AS5, as is Noctua's paste. And personally, the thought of having to pull things apart every @200 heat cycles to avoid the cure time is something I find intolerable, since basically a heat cycle on a gpu is any heavy gaming session lasting longer than @1/2 hour

Any quality aftermarket paste over stock paste is better ive only used artic silver but i will try your recommendation usually thermal past is so close to call for sure but i would give it a try and cure times dont take that long and installing new paste only take 10min if you cant have you computer off for an 30 min or so i feel bad for you.
