Hi everyone, I recently tried to overclock my GPU for the first time, I was doing small incremental changes with each bump in clock speed like the guide told me to. It was going ok until my 3rd increase, then when I clicked the checkmark to apply setting in MSI afterburner, my screen went black and wouldn't turn back on. I got it to come back on by removing the GPU and my CMOS battery, I had to boot my computer with out the GPU in it for it to display on my monitor, I went through the BIOS recovery screen and then was able to put the GPU back in and reboot like normal. My only problem now, is that my GPU performance is noticeably slower in all my games. Any idea on why this would be happening?

I figured it out. My 8 pin power connector(which is 6 pin and 2 pin beside each other) wasn't plugged in all the way. the 2 pin part was ever so slightly not flush with the port. face palm thanks anyway!

PSU is Powerspec 750 watt 80 plus gold fully modular

Before overclocking GPU the benchmark brought temp to 75 Celsius, after overclocking it was 78 Celsius.
No notable change in CPU temp between the tests, it stayed around 40 Celsius.
