Ok useing ati radeon hd 4350 just tried hdmi to hdmi and the picture quality is absolutely rubbish also tried hdmi to dvi adapter and still rubbish. But the dvi quality is excellent.I also tried the hdmi to dvi adapter in my other pc which has a nvidia 8400gs and again rubbish quality. My monitor is the lg m227wd full hd 1920x1080p.Does anyone know the reason for this?and any soloution. From checking out other numerous forums i see i'm not alone. Thanks in advance for any answers. 😱

Did you check the scaling in ccc? I know I had to adjust mine before the display was pristine. I use dvi to hdmi w/ a 5870 and a sony bravia as my display.

Yeah checked that all settings are correct. Some people are saying change the scaling but i've scoured the ccc and this option does'nt exist.

I believe its overlooked so much because its kind of dubious how they have it set up.

Open up CCC in avanced mode, click the Graphics tab in the top left, select Desktop & Displays, right click your current display and select Configure..., that will open up tabs of different options, hit scaling options.

Hi rhamutap, Already tried that configure is'nt there! after right clicking there are three options rotate, identify, and properties.

Yes there sure is. But even if a scaling option was there it would'nt make any difference, because scaling is'nt a problem, the picture fits the screen perfectly the problem is the picture quality which is appalling, and no matter what adjustments i make to the picture it makes no difference.

Ok sorry my mistake i managed to find the configure option and after a vast amount of tweaking i've managed to improve the image quality quite a lot.Jpegs look really good but the only downside is all text words have this strange sort of grey brown colour instead of being black.

Start CCC go to Desktop Properties. Set your display to 1920x1080, 32 Bit, 60HZ, Landscape.

CCC Scaling

Go to Desktop & Displays
At the bottom there is a small Monitor Icon
Right Click with the mouse and select Configure
There are multiple tabs and one of it is Scaling Options.
There is the underscan/overscan slide bar.
