get two 8GB sticks of ram should help quite abit kinda. and maybe a 1 TB ssd but thats kinda what your stuck with on laptop upgrades but dual channling your ram sould help and depending on the ram you get you might be able enable xmp or docp you should also be able to move up to ddr4 ram aswell i need to check the dell website. the i7 6700 hq does suport 2133 ddr4 ram

Add a second 8gb ram stick.
Dual channel is a bit faster.
Past that, laptops are not upgradeable.
When you game, you must be plugged in to get max performance.

Check your cooling airways. Gaming laptops can throttle if they get too hot.
