Question why is my monitor doing this?

I turned on my monitor from sleep mode and when I did it started flashing between blue, white, red, green and black. here is a video-

I unplugged it from the PC, and it continued to happen, but when I turned the monitor off and back on it came back to normal, but I still don't know why it was doing that in the first place. Is it faulty?

Ram: 64GB DDR5
SSD/HDD: 980 PRO 1TB
