Question Why is my Monitor only displaying white blank screen?

So today i took my monitor out of storage after a year and when i turned it on it first displayed a grey screen that looked like old paper with lines on it and now it's displaying only a bright white blank screen.

Also theres a box that keeps moving from side to side which i think used to be the no signal thing.

The buttons on the monitor seem to work and whenever i click a button the moving square changes to a rectangle.

It's also going into sleep mode after a period of inactivity.

I've connected multiple devices to it and still the problem persists. Is there a chance to save/repair it? And what could have caused this in the first place?

if nothing changes no matter what device is outputting a signal to it then it is damaged and most likely just garbage now.

why was it in storage for a year?
was it already giving problems previously?

when was it purchased?

have you contacted Dell customer service?
