Why is my mother board making a beeping sound

I am trying to set up an older computer that j haven't used in quite a while and when I try to turn it on the motherboard just beeps 5 times stops for a few seconds then beeps again.
The mother board is a Dell Studio 540 Socket LGA775 IPIEL-RN2 PC Motherboard M017G
The cup is a q6600
Gpu r9 270
8 gb of ram
430 watt psu

the beeps are telling you the motherboard has detected an issue, the pattern of the beeps will correlate to the issue.

if this is to be believed the battery on the motherboard is dead, you need to get a new CR2032 3V lithium button cell and replace the one on the motherboard.

the motherboard cannot remember any settings or the time and date without the battery, every power down it will reset those settings
