why is my mouse freezing and glitching all the time?

i got a R.A.T 5 mouse last june and it has been alright but the last few months it has been freezing up or only letting me move the mouse up and down or left to right untill i ran my finger along the sensor a few times and it is getting SO annoying and i was wondering if this mouse is known to have this issue or if its best to just emal mad catz

Have you tried cleaning the sensor? also have you tried using usb 3.0 or 2.0, if you have only tried on usb port try another one, I had this problem with my mouse as I had it in a usb 3.0 port and i moved it as it was easy to manage and I found out that my mouse work perfectly in the usb 2.0 port. I hope this helps!
