Question Why is my mouse lagging in game?

In the past week, my mouse has been experiencing lag jumps in Call of Duty. And not just call of duty, Fortnite too. My games are not even playable at the moment and it is very upsetting to the point where I just want to Reset my entire computer and start again. My computer runs both games great at over 100fps and its not actual lag. My aim cursor in the game just darts around and even acts like it got stuck in mud. The mouse works completely normal everywhere else. I tried reinstalling Nvidia drivers and even rolling them back. I tried going to Nvidia control panel but surprise that is gone! I also did manual updates to main components of my pc and nothing seems to work. I might be able to get video examples if anyone has an idea to help.

What mouse is it? Are there any drivers installed for it? If so, try uninstall them. Mouse might work fine on other PC's but have you tried a different mouse on yours? Have you tried a different surface? How about in Windows and browsing, does it lag here?

Regarding NvidiaCP missing, if you're running Win10, you can find it in MS app store. Nvidia no longer includes the control panel with it's drivers.

It is a Logitech G502. I’ve uninstalled the drivers and re installed them a few times. I’ve tried multiple surfaces. The mouse ONLY lags in game and works fine on the desktop and browsing. I also tried downloading Nvidia Control panel from the App Store and it didn’t work, based on the reviews it wouldn’t work anyway.

Nvidia Control panel from MS store works fine, it's just a few clicks and it's there.

Anyway, this seems like a sync issue, be it Vsync or another variation of sync. If Vsync is disabled, try manually limit fps. If mouse IS fine on desktop then it's how the game's engine is reacting to your movement. Gpu's software Vsync overrides game's own Vsync so try either, Nvidia's or game BUT limit fps a couple below refresh rate if try this.

I capped my frames at 120 and turned Vsync on and it helped tremendously, I don’t understand why this happened considering I’ve always had Vsync off and never had a problem.
