I recently built my first pc and so far I've been loving it. The only issue I have with it however is the SSD. I bought a Silicon Power UD85 1TB NVME SSD from Amazon mainly because it was cheap. It's a Gen 4 drive with reads and writes up to 3600 and 2800 mb/s. The issue is however it never even reaches close to those speeds. When downloading a 4 GB file today, it averages at around 2 mb/s of write according to HWmonitor and at most 81 mb/s. It's making downloading files excruciatingly painful. It averaged about 4.5% Activity in the Utilization tab when downloading that file. Does anybody know how to speed it up? Because I really don't want to buy a new drive.

PC specs-
12600k
16gb ram
SP UD85 1TB SSD

Solution
here. The results look fine, but it shouldn't take 20 minutes to download 4 gigabytes
That 20 minutes has nothing to do with your drive.
Your internet speed, and what the server is giving you is the only consideration.

You have a firehose size SSD.
It is being fed by a garden hose at best. More likely a soda straw.

Downloading something from the internet is NOT the way to test a drive speed.

CrystalDiskMark, and post a screencap of the results.
(screencap, not the text results. Upload your pic to imgur.com, post the link here)
